Duramax Composite Doors

Duramax doors won’t rust, rot, twist, or dent. They’re designed to withstand the extremes of Australian weather conditions.

Ultimate Durability

For exterior entrances exposed to extreme weather, Parkwood’s Duramax Composite entry doors are the ideal choice.

Composite doors are covered by a 10-year warranty.

The Polyurethane core of Duramax doors provides a strong thermal rating, giving your home a warm, comfortable atmosphere in the winter and cool and crisp in the summer. There are two types of high-impact coating available: wood grain and smooth skin finishes, ready for painting or staining in any colour.

➞ LVL styles and rails for superior stability.

➞ Composite resin edges – clean and tidy which can be trimmed or rebated.

➞  Glass Reinforced Polyester skins making them tough and weatherproof.

➞ Polyurethane core for high insulation.

➞ R value of at least 0.60 on unglazed doors (calculated as per ISO 10077-1 Third Edition 2017-6).

These can be drilled/machined just like timber, but they can be exposed to any weather conditions!

Take a look at Parkwood’s skilled craftsmen machining a lock and the hinges on a Duramax composite door to illustrate how it’s done just like a timber door.

DURAMAX COMPOSITE DOOR WARRANTY

In fully exposed conditions, Duramax Composite Entry Doors are guaranteed for 10 years.
Fiberglass/resin are applied to all edges of the door, so it does not have to be painted in order to be warranted.

When painting or staining your Duramax door, keep these things in mind:

  • The use of dark colours on the door should be avoided if it’s in direct sunlight.
  • Glossy colours should not be selected as they can show a slight ‘wave’ in your door.

FINISHING DURAMAX COMPOSITE DOORS

Woodgrain Duramax doors can be painted or stained, but smooth finish Duramax doors can only be painted. We offer a high quality painting service for Duramax doors to be painted in a satin finish. We recommend using Resene CoolColour.
