There are two types of high-impact coating available: wood grain and smooth skin finishes, ready for painting or staining in any colour.
➞ LVL styles and rails for superior stability.
➞ Composite resin edges – clean and tidy which can be trimmed or rebated.
➞ Glass Reinforced Polyester skins making them tough and weatherproof.
➞ Polyurethane core for high insulation.
➞ R value of at least 0.60 on unglazed doors (calculated as per ISO 10077-1 Third Edition 2017-6).
These can be drilled/machined just like timber, but they can be exposed to any weather conditions!
Take a look at Parkwood’s skilled craftsmen machining a lock and the hinges on a Duramax composite door to illustrate how it’s done just like a timber door.
